Osprey-820e:- PCIe 2 Channel DVI-I Video Capture 

Introduction

The Osprey-820e is a dual input card and can ingest SD or HD analogue video as well as VGA, HDMI and DVI.

The latest addition to the Osprey Video PCI Express family of capture cards, the Osprey-820e continues the strong tradition of high-quality streaming performance. The Osprey-820e now lets you add audio and video to a traditional graphics interface making it an ideal solution for lecture capture.

Take advantage of advanced video pre-processing features such as logo/bitmap overlay with transparency and positioning controls, de-interlacing, colour space conversion and closed-caption extraction and rendering. Wide screen signaling is also standard as well a SimulStream.

The Osprey-820e uses the compact 4-lane PCI Express interface for a broad range of motherboard support by providing compatibility with 4, 8 and 16 lane PCI Express slots. PC manufacturers have adopted the PCI Express bus as the latest high-throughput internal bus architecture. The best PC graphics cards use this bus because it unleashes the power of modern multi-core PC engines.

The Osprey-820e requires intense bandwidth across the system bus, CPU and memory. Hence, the host computer system must be capable of processing this amount of data. The selection of the CPU is critical. To process full HD video on both channels of the Osprey-820e, the minimum processors required are dual i7-3930K@3.2GHz
